How we work at Ergomania
We apply the most long standing, examined and tested frameworks, which we always tailor to the projects based on the individual needs and possibilities of the clients. By applying our planning strategy and methods consistently we can react rapidly to changes, to the emerging difficulties and to the business challenges. During the design process we are bound to serve business goals and while doing so we give our best to fulfil user needs as well. These two considerations when unified properly can result in a successful redesign project.
Iterative design
We work in iterations, we continuously fine-tune our design until we reach the desired quality and visual consistency.
Focus on processes
Although the output of the design process is often a set of wireframes, we primarily focus on user journeys and processes. We explore potential user flows and based on these we design wireframes and prototypes to best serve the user’s needs. During the design process we keep in mind the different situations that play important part in the user’s life.
Involving stakeholders
We communicate with stakeholders on regular basis to ensure that business goals are included in the design process, and to avoid missing any important features. Late implementation of important features are always cost and time-consuming.
Data driven design
We design based on user data. We include all user data (user segments, frequent complaints, questions) and analytics results that are provided by our client.
From high level design to details
We begin the design process with a high level overview and we gradually break it down the detailed components.
Incorporation of technical and design values
We communicate with stakeholders who are familiar with the brand expectations and infrastructure of the clients to make sure that our design suits their vision.
We involve programming experts with many years of experience to review our design plans and to participate in important meetings. They highlight risky and problematic solutions, and suggest alternative, more feasible methods, modifications and propose topics for further discussions.
Application of international best practices
Our experts have more than 10 years of experience in user-centered design. They are familiar with the current international trends and practices in website and user experience design and well acquainted with the latest topics and literature of the field. During the design process we analyse and build in the specific solutions applied in the given sector.
User experience instead of usability
A usable site is the first step. But we look beyond simple usability and we aim to design a fun and smooth experience of human-computer interaction.
Mobile design guidelines
We always use responsive design guidelines in order to ensure the easy and comfortable usage on various mobile devices. We place emphasis on designing easy to manipulate interactive elements and good accessibility for important features.
Cost reduction
By designing effective and clear websites, we help our clients to lessen the load on expensive human resources and reduce the cost of customer care.
Personalisation and customisation
To ensure an efficient and smooth user experience, it is crucial to have a system that is flexible and capable to adapt to the users’ behaviour. Keeping this in mind, we design by focusing on the factors in which our potential users might differ from each other and plan these features to be flexible. This will allow the users to add, delete certain features, bring them to the foreground or background, modify the position, appearance, functionality, etc.
Our solutions are not only flexible but smart as well. Our system recognises what products the user is interested in based on various user behaviour data. User behaviour data can reveal: usage frequency, similarity in behaviour to other users, familiarity with the system, log in frequency, error frequency, accuracy, etc.
Professional quality assurance
Our main quality assurance goal is to monitor and control the realization of defined KPIs. This is important throughout the whole project but we believe the feedback and validation is the most crucial once the design is live: even the most measured design will require modifications and corrections based on the observations of live usage.
